Spotlighting Black Excellence:
Norwich Students' Black History Month Gallery
In October 2023 UEA Students' Union, in partnership with Norwich University of the Arts SU (NUASU), held a collaborative "Norwich Students Black History Month Gallery,"
The event served as a platform to celebrate and highlight the exceptional work and talent of Black students and tutors from both Norwich University of the Arts and the University of East Anglia. The exhibition's theme encouraged exploration of subjects such as the Black diaspora, significant historical moments or figures, as well as themes centred around self-love and pride.
It was a great community building event, not just helping to bring black students in Norwich together, but also bringing the two city unions together. It was a great showcase of how effective we can be when we combine our efforts and resources together, and will hopefully provide a foundations for future collaborative events!
